Tour Booking Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern your booking and participation in tours organized by Discover The Pamirs. By submitting a booking request, you agree to the following terms.
1. Booking & Confirmation
- A booking is considered requested once you submit the booking form or enquiry.
- Bookings are not automatically confirmed until you receive a confirmation from our team.
- We process all booking requests manually, usually within 24 hours.
- Your name will be added to the departure list only after confirmation.
2. Payment Policy
- No upfront payment is required at the initial booking stage.
- Payment details and deadlines will be shared once the departure is confirmed or guaranteed.
- The price per person depends on:
- Group size (for group-based pricing), or
- A fixed price (if applicable)
- Payments are typically made:
- In cash on arrival, or
- Via agreed payment methods communicated in advance
3. Pricing & Group Size
- Tours are usually organized with up to 4 travelers per vehicle.
- The price per person varies depending on the number of participants sharing the car.
- A departure can still operate with fewer travelers if participants agree to the corresponding price.
- In some cases:
- Group size may be adjusted (e.g., 3 travelers for more comfort)
- Or slightly exceed standard capacity (e.g., 5–6 travelers), with prior agreement
- Prices listed on our website apply to group sizes up to 4 travelers, unless stated otherwise.
4. Departure Status
Each departure is assigned a status:
- Pending: Waiting for more travelers to join
- Guaranteed: Confirmed based on participants’ commitment to the price
- Open: Available for booking
- Full: Fully booked
- Modified: Itinerary or duration has changed
A departure marked as Guaranteed means it is expected to operate based on confirmed commitment—not because a minimum group size has been reached.
5. Fixed Price Departures
- Some departures may be offered at a fixed price, regardless of group size.
- In such cases:
- The price does not change if more travelers join
- The departure is typically guaranteed
- Fixed-price departures may be created by:
- Travelers requesting a private or semi-private arrangement
- Discover The Pamirs offering simplified pricing
6. Cancellations & Changes
By the Traveler:
- Please inform us as early as possible if you need to cancel or change your booking
- Cancellation terms (if payment is made) will be communicated individually
By Discover The Pamirs:
- We reserve the right to modify or cancel a tour due to:
- Insufficient participants (for Pending departures)
- Weather conditions
- Road conditions
- Safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances
- In such cases, we will:
- Inform you as early as possible
- Offer alternatives where possible
7. Travel Documents & Permits
- Travelers are responsible for:
- Holding a valid passport
- Obtaining any required visas
- We assist in arranging the GBAO permit, which requires:
- A copy of your passport
- Submission in advance of departure
8. Accommodation & Meals
- Accommodation and meals are not included in the tour price unless stated otherwise.
- We:
- Arrange and reserve guesthouses during the trip
- Allow flexibility for travelers to choose alternatives (e.g., hotels)
- All payments for these services are made directly on-site.
9. Responsibility & Liability
- We organize transportation, logistics, and coordination of the tour.
- However, we are not liable for:
- Personal injury or illness
- Loss or damage of personal belongings
- Delays due to weather, road conditions, or border procedures
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
10. Health & Safety
- Travelers should be aware that:
- The Pamir Highway involves high altitudes and remote areas
- Medical facilities may be limited
- You are responsible for ensuring you are fit to travel and properly insured.
11. Communication
- All important updates will be shared via:
- WhatsApp (where applicable)
- Travelers are responsible for:
- Providing correct contact details
- Checking messages regularly before departure
12. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a booking request or joining a departure, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
