Accommodation in the Pamir region is usually provided by small guesthouses, family homestays, and a limited number of hotels. Because many villages are remote and accommodation options are limited, it is helpful to arrange stays in advance, especially during the travel season.
Although our tours mainly focus on providing transportation and local drivers, we also assist our travelers by reserving accommodation along the route.
Once your itinerary is confirmed, we contact guesthouses or hotels in each destination and arrange the reservations for your travel dates. Travelers then pay directly to the host upon arrival.
This approach has several advantages.
First, it allows travelers to choose the type of accommodation they prefer. In most locations, visitors can decide between:
Local guesthouses or homestays
Small hotels (where available)
Second, paying directly to the host helps support local families and small businesses along the Pamir Highway.
Third, it keeps the tour price transparent and flexible. Travelers are not tied to a fixed accommodation package and can decide during the journey if they would like to stay somewhere different.
Accommodation reservations are typically arranged in places such as:
Qalai Khumb
Khorog
Wakhan Valley villages
Murghab
Other stops along the Pamir Highway
Our drivers are familiar with the guesthouses along the route and can also assist travelers during the trip if any changes are needed.
This system combines advance planning with flexibility, allowing travelers to explore the Pamirs comfortably while maintaining freedom in choosing where they stay.
