Things to do after booking Osh to Dushanbe tour (or reverse route) with us 

After booking the tour JT004 - Dushanbe to Osh Pamir Highway Tour including the Wakhan valley  (or)  JT005 - Osh to Dushanbe Pamir Highway Tour Through the Wakhan Valley, please review the following points to ensure you are fully prepared for the journey: 

1. Ensure you have valid VISA for Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan (if not visa free) and the GBAO permit 
   GBAO permit is a must for every foreigner entering the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region. Ensure you have the GBAO permit and a visa if required for Tajikistan (for citizens of non-visa-free countries). If you still haven't got your GBAO permit (with your visa or without your visa), please send a copy of your passport, so we should take care of the GBAO permit. For that we also need arrival date to Tajikistan. 
2. Kyrgyz border permit is not needed anymore
   So now you do not have to do anything here ;)
3. Make 10-12 copies of your documents if you enter from Osh side
   Make about 10-12 copies of your passport along with your GBAO permit (and visa or registration, if your stay is more than 14 days) on one sheet of paper (double-sided is fine). The copies of the documents saves time at checking points along the route. 
   Note 2: if you enter from Dushanbe side, we will take care of making the copies ourselves. 
4. How much money do I need for the excluded services? 
   1. Dinner, bed and breakfast costs 23-27 USD per person in the guesthouses and homestays. Lunch you will have in cafes, and it will cost around 5 - 8 USD.   
   2. National Park permit costs 10 USD per person, if you enter to the area, but you can skip it. This permit is needed to visit Yashilkul from Bulunkul lake.  
   3. For other entrance fees - museum, hotsprings, approximately 15 USD for the whole trip. 
5. Which currency you should have?
   Payments in guesthouses for food and accommodation are done in local currency - somoni. The best option is to exchange money in Osh, since you can exchange euro to TJS as well. The best exchanging rate in Osh for exchanging money is between Mega and O! shops https://maps.app.goo.gl/3vai7wCbpHVdwrRq6. There are few other exchange offices in that area, which you can check and cimpare.   
   You can change US dollars in Murghab as well, but exchanging euro or other currency is not possible in the bank in Murghab. Therefore, better have the money in USD, since you can exchange in Osh and in Murghab as well. 
6. Weather in Pamir: get warm clothes
   The weather varies in Pamir due to the varying altitude of the region. Please check the weather using Google for Bulunkul, Khorog, and Dushanbe, close to the date of your travel, and get appropriate clothes. 
7. Trekking to Jizeu
   Bring your trekking shoes. The trekking is approximately 8 km going up to the village, and takes around 3 hours. And then next day going down to the main road where your car picks you up.
8. Share the name of your accommodation with us for the pick-up
   We pick you up from your accommodation on the first day, and drop you off to your accommodation at the destination. Please provide the name and GPS location of your accommodation so that our driver can pick you up.
