This is the short itinerary of the Pamir Highway Tour from Dushanbe to Osh via Wakhan corridor.
Day 01: Journey to Kalai Khumb (350 km)
Departing early from Dushanbe, we embark on a scenic drive to Kalai Khumb, the gateway to the Pamir Highway. Along the Panj River, enjoy photo stops at Nurek Dam and Hulbuk Fortress, gaining insights into Tajikistan's engineering prowess and cultural heritage. Lunch in Kulob and a Shurobod pass ascent offer panoramic views of Afghanistan. Reach Kalai Khumb for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Exploring Jizeu Village in Bartang Valley (200 km)
Venturing into Bartang Valley, we leave the Pamir Highway, passing Baghu village and trekking to Jizeu. The remote village, untouched by modern amenities, welcomes us with a homestay. Explore the idyllic surroundings, engage with locals, and immerse in Bartang Valley's tranquility.
Day 03: Jizeu Village – Khorog (80 km)
Bid farewell to Jizeu and journey to Khorog, the administrative center of GBAO. Enjoy a delightful lunch in Khorog, exploring attractions like the Botanical Garden, Central Park, and vibrant bazaar. Rest in a welcoming guesthouse, experiencing Tajik hospitality.
Day 04: Exploring the Wakhan Valley (210 km)
Discover the Wakhan Valley's wonders, visiting Garm-Chashma hot spring, Ishkashim, Qahqaha, Yamchun fortresses, and Bibi Fatima hot spring. Retreat to a cozy guesthouse amidst the tranquility of the Wakhan Valley.
Day 05: Journey through Wakhan Valley to Bulunkul Lake (170 km)
Explore Sufi Muborak-Kadami Vakhani's museum, a Buddhist Stupa in Vrang, and petroglyphs in Langar. Ascend to Bulunkul village, the coldest in the Pamir, and connect with the local community. Overnight in a Bulunkul guesthouse.
Day 06: Journey to Karakul Lake (280 km)
Visit Yashilkul Lake and traverse the Pamir Highway, reaching Murghab for lunch and exploration. Conquer the Ak-Baital Pass, the Pamir Highway's zenith at 4655 meters. Arrive at Karakul village near the mesmerizing Karakul Lake, offering a cozy guesthouse for the night.
Day 07: Karakul to Osh (286 km)
