Description
Iskanderkul Lake Day Trip is a one-day tour which starts from Dushanbe and ends in Dushanbe. Iskanderkul is a lake located in the heart of the Fann Mountains. During the day-tour you will do a short hiking in Fan mountains, visit Panjchashma, Moron, Busefal canyon and waterfall "Fan Niagara". Lunch will be in a traditional homestay "Dilovar"

Iskanderkul Lake Day Trip: What to See and What to Do
08:30 – Pick-up in Dushanbe
Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Dushanbe.
We begin our journey toward Iskanderkul Lake, located about 3 hours from the city.
On the way, we will make a short photo stop near the Anzob Tunnel to capture the beautiful mountain scenery. After approximately 100 km, we turn off the main road and drive 24 km of an off-road section along the scenic Iskander Darya River until we reach Iskanderkul.
12:00 – Hike to the Fann "Niagara" Waterfall (70 minutes)
After crossing a small bridge, we begin a 2 km downhill hike toward the waterfall along Iskander Darya.
(If preferred, it is possible to drive part of this distance to shorten the walk.)
At the waterfall, enjoy the refreshing air and spectacular views. After spending time there, we hike back to the car and then drive to the lakeside restaurants.
13:30 – Lunch with a View
We stop for lunch at one of the restaurants located by the lake.
Zumrad Tourist Center is a popular choice, with a restaurant right on the lake shore offering beautiful views.
Alternatively, you may bring your own lunch from Dushanbe and enjoy a picnic by the lake.
Please do not leave any rubbish and help keep the area clean.
14:30 – Visit Snake Lake & Viewpoint Above Iskanderkul
After lunch, we visit Moron Lake, also known as Snake Lake, named after the small snakes that can sometimes be seen in the water.
We also head up the hill to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking Iskanderkul — an excellent spot for photos and enjoying the incredible landscape.
15:30 – Departure to Dushanbe
After exploring the area and taking in the views, we start driving back to Dushanbe.
Estimated arrival time is around 18:30.
Your driver will drop you off at your accommodation or at a restaurant if you prefer to have dinner before returning to your hotel.

- Full: This departure is fully booked. However, new members can create another departure on the same date by contacting us.
- Modified: The itinerary or duration of this departure has been changed. The price is usually adjusted accordingly.
